S2W Media had the pleasure of joining our industry peers and over 200 of Australia’s marketing leaders in Melbourne at the B2B Marketing Leaders Forum event, which took place at the Crown Melbourne on the 9th and 10th of November.
As with any event, there’s a beautiful blend of chaos and excitement as three of our APAC-based team leaders set off on their journey to Melbourne, a place this team hasn’t visited in over a year.With our unnecessarily oversized bags, the embarrassing red ‘HEAVY’ stickers attached, and a pair of ‘sticks’ in tow (yes, thank you to everyone who looked at us like we were collecting materials to start a fire - oh event gear, how we’ve missed you!), the team was ready to take on the challenge of a multi-day event.
Bump-in was seamless, like a well-oiled machine. The team gathered and pulled together our home base for the next two days in record time. Was it because the happy hour was calling? The “fire sticks”did become a hat stand that held our event goodie bags, booth furniture was put in place, cupcakes delivered, and fresh juices chilled in the fridge, ready for the days ahead.
Event day finally arrived, and from the very first moment we walked into the exhibition hall, the excitement in the atmosphere was electric as people gathered with their morning coffee for the first time in almost three years. There were hugs and kisses as familiar faces met and instant engagement between sponsors and guests. Interaction and networking hadwell and truly begun!
On top of all the networking, guests participated in multiple main plenary sessions led by some of Australia’s leading marketers and successfully established brands and had the choice to participate in 20+ breakout sessions. In the exhibition hall, it was amazing to stand alongside vendors with whom we share a common goal and passion, to provide our country's marketing leaders with solutions to their challenges and be vital enablers in their path to success—all while having a bit of fun along the way!
The time spent mingling with both new and familiar faces is irreplaceable; being proactively approached for further information from inquisitive forum attendees was an absolute highlight, and on behalf of the entire team at S2W Media, we thank you for engaging with usacross the two-day event. As they say, there’s nothing like bonding over cupcakes, fresh juices, and a passion for quality and success.
To say that getting back into the swing of event things was exhilarating is an understatement. It was delightful to see old friends and meet new ones.
